Genellikle &#8220;GPS&#8221; olarak bilsek de, asl\u0131nda GPS (Amerika Birle\u015fik Devletleri), GLONASS (Rusya), Galileo (Avrupa Birli\u011fi) ve BeiDou (\u00c7in) gibi farkl\u0131 sistemlerin tamam\u0131n\u0131 kapsayan daha geni\u015f bir terimdir. Bu sistemler, uydulardan g\u00f6nderilen sinyallerin al\u0131c\u0131ya ula\u015fma s\u00fcresini \u00f6l\u00e7erek konum hesaplamas\u0131 yapar. Ancak as\u0131l kritik nokta, bu verilerin GNSS al\u0131c\u0131n\u0131za do\u011fru bir \u015fekilde iletilip al\u0131c\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan i\u015flenmesidir.
